B2W Software history
Paul McKeon started a paving company while in college and later worked for a large road construction contractor in Massachusetts. In 1993, he saw an opportunity to introduce specialized estimating software to an industry being held back in speed, efficiency and accuracy by pencils, calculators and spreadsheets.
The concept and company caught on quickly. Expanding the features and application range of the estimating solution, incorporating cutting-edge IT technology as it emerged, and introducing a complementary solution for field tracking and analysis drove steady growth. Bid2Win then changed its name to B2W Software and developed its visionary concept of a unified platform for estimating and operations. Specialized applications for resource scheduling and dispatching, equipment maintenance, and e-forms and reporting were added. The unique platform enabled contractors to improve efficiency and performance by collaborating and sharing data across these workflows in real time.
Trimble acquired B2W Software in 2022. The move validated the value of the B2W portfolio, platform approach and team and it enhanced Trimble’s connected, end-to-end construction management concept.
