Inform Recognized for Big Data Software Innovation
Portsmouth, NH – June 30, 2015 – B2W Software, a leading provider of enterprise-class construction software, services and solutions, today announced that The 2015 American Business Awards has named its B2W Inform information management and analysis application as a potential Gold, Silver, or Bronze Stevie® Award winner. B2W Inform was chosen within the New Product Management, Big Data solution category for its ability to enable construction companies to easily assemble unstructured data for in-depth business analytics, improve workflow procedures and enhance operational efficiency.
“So many fascinating and inspiring stories of success were submitted to the ABAs this year,” said Stevie Awards president and founder Michael Gallagher. “We congratulate all of our 2015 Finalists on their achievements.”
The American Business Awards are considered the nation’s preeminent business awards program. All organizations operating in the U.S.A. are eligible to submit nominations. More than 3,300 nominations from organizations of all sizes and in virtually every industry were submitted this year for consideration in a wide range of categories.
Award judges acknowledge that information needed for business operations is often unstructured, scattered in multiple formats, and trapped within static documents; also that accessing and using this data is an ongoing challenge for construction companies. They singled out B2W Inform for its ability to address this issue with a comprehensive solution for capturing, tracking, managing and analyzing a huge amount of data.
In addition, judges also noted Inform’s ability to simplify data capture with easy form template creation. Users can create and publish customized electronic forms quickly with drag-and-drop components that include tables, pick lists, signatures, photo/video capture, file attachments, GPS, timestamps and other data options. Additional features include:
- Databinding of form fields to external sources via API to facilitate form completion and ensure accuracy
- The ability to easily build custom reports and dashboards
- Automated alerts to notify employees when specified events or incidents occur
“With margin pressure as well as compliance and regulatory requirements increasing, construction enterprises need to leverage all of their assets – including their data – to ensure regulation adherence, streamline operations and maximize profitability,” said Paul McKeon, CEO, B2W Software. “B2W Inform addresses this need by giving construction companies a powerful solution for collecting information across all departments with ease and real-time immediacy as well as mining that data to create customized reporting, dashboards and alerts.”
McKeon also said that mobility is another key advantage for construction companies. He noted that B2W Inform can be accessed via browser from desktops, laptops, tablets and smart phones. “Our intuitive and adaptive user interface automatically renders the B2W Inform screens according to the device,” McKeon explains.
The American Business Awards new product & technology awards event will be held on Friday, September 11 in San Francisco.
